How to amplify your goals by having a host

Jeremy Brisiel is the Chief Creative Officer of Sweloquent Arts, and Mario Armstrong is an Emmy award winning talk show host. These guys are exceptional live event hosts, and if they can’t convince you of the value of having a host for your live event, nothing can.


Here are the four top ideas I took away from a recent conversation with Mario and Jeremy:


  1. A host is a pro who can get you where you want to go more efficiently, and amplify your messaging with less chance of problems. And if they're outside the organization, it allows them to do certain things that someone inside the organization just can't do.
  2. Hosts can inspire you to turn your event into other content like streaming podcasts and video on demand.
  3. Having a host allows your presenters to relax, allows them to talk rather than present, and allows the host to be the one to worry about the audience.
  4. Hosts do a lot of research, and you need to be honest with them about what's really going on at this meeting, what your message is, what the audience is thinking, and what you want them to feel.

Mario and Jeremy bring so much to an event. Even if you think your event doesn’t need a host, it’s worth considering if having the right person in place can take your event to the next level.
